The content of this German blog is amazing if you have an interest in garage pop/rock/punk. I owned a vinyl copy of Palmy jangly guitar pop band, The Remarkables EP way back when, seeing it available here was a nice surprise. I thought I'd never see a Henchmen download. I rang up real groovy to find out they couldn't order Lust For Glory and was told I'd have to track it down from the states. There's a Slavetrader 7 inch plus some MC5 and German stuff.

Thanks guy, do you have a top up card or wotevs, as I can find most stuff I like off net now which is noice but i won't pay anything that rekord collecting skum are charging for punk rock records but it's still nice to have the whole package too.

most record stores here are quite arse i'm sorry to say, I shud start one of my own which I've been meaning to for ages but health has stopped me being motivated as to whether I should commit myself, looking at the other shops that offer alternatives though I can see a large non zombie market out there.

cheers.

A top up card? :? Downloading stuff off the net is definitely not the same as having actual product. I think some New Zealand record stores aren't too bad. Real Groovy is up there with Amoeba from what I saw in San Francisco and I found some of the music stores I went into in LA really disappointing.

Because alot of people/the mainstream and idiots who think greenday is the start of it all and old cats who are too old, lazy or cynical aren't buying stuff that doesn't fit their compartmentalised mindzeye. Specially when net makes distro easiar i spose, just shows how selfish humans can be conditoned to be ala, 'fuck the scene', 'wot scene?' specially wen gen y doesn't care to listen to those who aren't 'important enough' or put in the 'work', ironic huh so why bother right, bla bla with that thought we would never have had sst, touch and go, alternative tentacles, crass, you name it you got it etc etc, not having a go at you just sick of trying to keep up with stupid humans but I am never surprised.

Top Up Cards or wotevs they're called you can get from the postoffice, like a credit card but more like an eftpos card you can use on the net etc as ya spend ya own money and top it up as ya go.

The blogger has recently posted singles by The Warners, Bygone Era, Compos Mentis, Skank Attack and Bored Games. (Joe 90 is a must hear, it's nearly unbelievable Shane Carter was partially responsible for that song).
