NO OPTIONS RECORDS UPDATE JULY 1st 2008

Here is what is happening at N.O. headquarters in Oakland.



Upcoming releases:

ECONOCHRIST ‘Ruination’ LP re-issue – ECONOCHRIST one of the most influential bands in hardcore finally back in print for the new generation of punx. This is their first full length which contains all-time classics such as “Comabox” and “Bullet with No Name” re-issue will also contain their songs from the split with THE DETONATORS.



MORNE ‘Demo’ LP –This is a new band from the former guitarist of FILTH OF MANKIND who relocated to Boston. MORNE definitely follow the same path of FOM and AMEBIX but with a distinct sound and style of their own. Check them out for yourselves. This is a very professional demo of the songs that will make up their forthcoming LP and clocks in at over 38 minutes. It is going to be available for mail order only and ultra limited. We will post details about where to get it as it becomes closer to the release date. If you would like to be added to the list of people who will be getting the first crack at this epic record email us your real email address and we will put you on the mailing list. MORNE are also working on a split LP with European band WARPRAYER so look for that to be coming out later this year.



(Rex*) FIX MY HEAD ‘untitled’ EP- This is the second release by Oakland’s best kept secret hardcore phenomenon. Mixing the rage and intensity of LOS CRUDOS with the memorable rhythms of bands like CIRCLE JERKS and NECROS this record is no hold barred slammer. Formed as a hobby band these guys aren’t taking everything so seriously, more like they are out to have fun and play some awesome music. Who knows though? One day they may even end up playing your shit city. FIX MY HEAD will be doing a small European tour next year. Contact us if you want to help with booking in Europe. Check them out.



INSTINCT OF SURVIVAL “North of Nowhere’ LP/CD- Hailing from Hamburg Germany, these Stenchcore Crusters deliver the best record of their long running history. This release is recorded with precision that brings to mind records of yore such as DEVIATED INSTINCT ‘Welcome to the Orgy’ and SACRILEGE ‘Behind the Realms of Madness’ LP. These guys basically live inside the famous punk bar called Onkel Otto so you can catch them there when in Hamburg or listen to the madness on shitspace.

FACE THE RAIL ‘yet to be titled’ LP/CD
This band features members of SECOND OPINION and NIGHTSTICK JUSTICE. They play awesome skaterock influenced hardcore that brings to mind THE FACTION or early JFA. They are the best new bands in the S.F. bay area and will no doubt deliver the goods musically. They have two great demos out so far you can order from them or go to the shitspace.

Other news:

(Rex*)STORMCROW - has a new self released split EP with Oakland’s SKAVEN. In the works for them in the near future is a split LP with Canadian grinders MASSGRAVE available on Agipunk label. There are also rumors of a tour, which I will post dates for when they become available.

Both the ‘Enslaved in Darkness’ LP and the SANCTUM split LP will be re-pressed by No Options in a matter of weeks.



LIMB FROM LIMB-have replaced former lead vocalist Barnacle with guitarist Blinky taking over vocals and have a new EP entitled ‘Dismemberment’ in the works on German label Institut Fuer Mentale Hygiene. Tours are being booked at this very moment I believe.

They will be playing Distort Vancouver Fest IV in August.



TARRAKIAN - is embarking on a short Northwest U.S. tour in a few days.

(Rex*)PELIGRO SOCIAL - have plans to do a West Coast Tour with D.S.B from Japan this November and will be releasing a new split with T.V. EVANGELISTS due out on the mighty Tank Crimes record label.



(Rex*)LOS MONJO -Currently writing music for the follow-up to their ‘Rock Basura’ recordings.

DESOLATION -are currently writing new material for a forthcoming LP on Prank Records. Hopefully there will be a succession of tours to follow.

They will also be playing Distort Vancouver Fest IV in August.

Desolation are really good. I'd be keen to hear more of their stuff.
