With the increase of price of sending non-standard mail(Like LPs) it may be worth remembering that if you glue stamps on and ask for the stamps to be sent back they can be re-used.

Soak the stamps in water for a while and the ink from the postmark comes off.

Yeah, I've heard the prices of mailing records has gone up by rather a lot...

Good idea re using stamps!

Soaping/ gluing stamps is a practice long-forgotten - and that's really fucking sad! When I did the print version of Scanner in the UK, I'd always request soaped stamps IF possible - and I'd always soap mine.
Too few appreciated the objective - that's the changing times Mike and Phlegmata. As with the thread on the other topic in this sub-subject; too many with too much money (and no desire to rip-off/ get one up on 'The System') are now with us. There are positives of course but too many of those grass-roots, DIY ideals are now obsolete... Disappointing but a reality.

Ha ha, they're gonna be in for a right shock when they get the opportunity to live through their first National Government... which is looking like happening soon!

It was someone doing a zine from Europe or the Eastern Block that suggested I do it years back. Admittedly it's been a long time since I've done it myself.
