I was really torn between Exploited or Anti-Nowhere League, but these Scottish buffoons just win the award I reckon. Why? Rubbish like 'Fuck A Mod', 'Fuck The System', 'Fuck The USA' - gee - you boys really know how to swear!! And 'I Believe in Anarchy' is such a short-sighted dumb-ass proclamation - not exactly CRASS was it!! They haven't ever written anything half way decent bar 'Dead Cities'. Clif Hanger from the FREEZE also tells a story about how, on a US Tour, the Exploited goons trashed the rider that was provided for all the bands. Tossers.

That's harsh Scanner!! Guess Good Charlotte are too obvious yeah? Okay I vote for either Dwarves or Antiseen - both are sexist, dum-fuck arseholes. But then so are Blink 182, not that those weener boiz were ever really Punk.

I don't mind a bit of Exploited here and there, but yeah I don't take their lyrics too seriously or anything... Saw/supported the Anti Nowhere League in Chch in November... I enjoyed seeing them live for the first time and thought they put on a good show! Though they seemed rather "rock starish"...that is, they didn't seem very interested in watching/talking to the support bands at all, they just surrounded themselves with groupies! Their gear has "The League" painted all over it... A friend of mine in the UK was telling me about how he pissed them off by writing "Human" on it, before the "League" bit...

I gave the league shit and they loved it, i saw vids of the exploited and hated it, first album or nufing, The Rabble is by far the worst 'punk' band to come out of NZ bar none, I'm serious.

Yeah I tend to agree with the comments about the Exploited they are pretty shitty I sold the stuff I had by them they just seem like complete munters.

Anti Nowhere League were not bad live when I saw them a bit Lame playing their" Hit song" like three times though and they did act like rock stars.

I think the Rabble do have some good songs but they do some fucking odd things i.e. doing a tour with Goodnight Nurse and Streetwise Scarlet ( High ranking candidates for two of the worst bands in NZ)

A mate back in the UK has a story about ANWL's Animal. Apparently when his band played some show with ANWL on the bill, Animal apparently dropped his whole stash of speed on the floor - and burst into tears. Haha!! Genuine too by all accounts. Hmm.... is this how rumours get started?? Maybe ANWL should have its own thread.

Discharge are way too cool! Look at all the copy cat bands... Ha ha, there's even a name for them these days, their sound has become a genre...

As far as the Exploited go... I don't really like to put a band down too much until I meet them/see them live and can make up my own mind from personal experience rather than gossip!

Which is why I was quite happy to write what I did about ANWL... I'd never support them again! In fact, I wish I'd never bothered the first time...

Which is why I don't bother too much with the "support act lollie scramble" everytime an international band plays here... I'd be willing to bet that half of them are too stuck up on their own wonderfulness and wouldn't even give you the time of day, let alone share any of the thousands of $$$ they get at every show with the suport bands... or even say "thanx for supporting us".

UK Subs were really cool! They actually payed me and Kez... and they roadied for us! Ha ha, Charlie Harper and Nicky Garrett carrying our gear into the venue for us! Charlie in particular was really nice... no stuck up ego or anything like that whatsoever, just really cool and down to earth! Had some "interesting" talks with him over the two nights he stayed at my place...
